Shelby County Clerk Office Space Optimization and Records Storage Project

Tri-State Systems, Inc. completed a multi-phase space optimization and records storage project for the Shelby County Clerk’s Office designed to improve functionality, organization, and storage capacity throughout the department.

The project began with the construction of a fully functional office, creating dedicated workspace while making more efficient use of the existing footprint.

Following completion of the office area, attention shifted to the records storage space. The main storage room was redesigned to incorporate a nine-unit high-density mobile shelving system consisting of one stationary carriage positioned in the center with four mobile units on each side. The system also includes locking capabilities to provide additional security for stored records and materials.

Additional storage improvements were completed in a secondary records storage area. This room features two separate mobile shelving systems: one consisting of two mobile units and a second system consisting of three mobile units and one stationary unit. Together, these systems significantly increased storage capacity while improving accessibility and organization.

The project also included the rearrangement of existing shelving and plat cabinets, along with the reorganization of critical documents and records. The completed installation transformed an overcrowded storage area into a more functional and efficient environment, increasing storage capacity, creating additional walking space, and improving overall workflow throughout the Clerk’s Office.
