Crane Naval Base
Tri-State Systems, Inc. recently completed a multi-phase relocation and installation of radio and communication equipment storage for the U.S. Navy.
Phase 1 involved removing the existing mobile shelving system for relocation to a new room, disposing of old flooring and decking materials, and grinding down exposed concrete anchors.
Phase 2 focused on building a new mobile system in a different room. Tracks were placed, leveled, and anchored, followed by the use of non-shrinking grout to support the tracks and decking. A new floor base was installed using OSB plywood, and grey vinyl flooring tiles were added to create a clean, finished surface.
Phase 3 included moving shelving materials into the new space and completing system assembly. A stationary unit was cut to size to maximize storage capacity while accommodating overhead piping.
